Is there a difference between holding a position of Business Developer at a specialized tech company that works with blockchain and crypto, and the same position in other IT companies?
To be honest, I don't think there is a difference whether you work in a niche or not. The main goal of this role is to promote brand awareness and boost lead generation. It doesn't matter what type of company you represent, if you want those prospects to become your clients, you need to learn about their needs and pain points so you can determine if and how they can benefit from your services.
What exactly do you do at Ulam Labs and what are your responsibilities?
My main responsibility is managing and identifying new business opportunities. I’m the first point of contact for our potential clients. There is a lot of research and data analysis involved in my daily work.
What do you like the most about your job?
In Ulam Labs, I like that I have many opportunities to learn new things and broaden my tech knowledge. It is quite challenging to work in the industry that is hard to predict and rapidly changing. Luckily, people who work here are super helpful and open to sharing their knowledge.
What skills are the most important for your role?
Good communication skills are key if you want to build a long-lasting business relationship. You should listen carefully to your potential client and find the benefit your customer gets when using your product or services. Also, if you are a part of the team that grows a business, you need to be able to analyze and interpret the data that can help you boost your strategy.
What do you enjoy most about working at UL?
There are two main things:
- I love the people who work here. They are open-minded and super friendly. It is impossible not to make friends at Ulam Labs :)
- You can really feel that your team leader is supporting you. If you feel like you would like to learn new things, just talk to him/her and you can be sure you will get help to achieve your goals.
What has been the most interesting project for you so far?
Our NFT Marketplace. While working on it, I had the opportunity to work with other departments, and it was great to get their point of view and understand how they see the product. That resulted in a carefully-thought out project that helps clients introduce their own NFT collections and project-specific marketplaces.
What challenges do you face when working on projects?
Keeping up with the changing environment and finding a successful strategy. You really need to follow the crypto market situation, react fast and implement a relevant growth plan. It is important to pay attention to your ecosystem and prioritize your tasks according to identified opportunities.
What advice would you give others interested in working at our Tea?
If you are looking for a company where you develop your career path and have an actual impact on what is happening in the company, just talk to our HR :)
