At ULAM LABS, we believe strong relationships matter just as much as writing great code. As our Partnerships Specialist, Tino brings together people and technology, making sure our clients get exactly what they need. He's not just liaising between clients and developers – he's building lasting partnerships based on mutual trust. We sat down with Tino to talk about his role, how he approaches client relationships, and what makes ULAM LABS special to him.
How do you approach building and maintaining relationships with clients?
My grandmother gave me a piece of advice I still use today: "You have two ears and one mouth for a reason." Pretty simple, right? But it's spot-on when it comes to working with clients. I make it a point to listen more than I talk. The key is understanding what clients need – both their immediate problems and their bigger-picture goals. When they see that you truly get it, trust follows naturally. They stop seeing you as just another vendor and start treating you as part of their team. That's when the real partnership begins.
What skills are the most important for your role?
My job comes down to putting clients first and staying one step ahead. When you genuinely care about their success, everything else falls into place. Of course, good communication is essential – you need to anticipate what clients might need and address any concerns early on.
But if I had to pick just one skill? It's listening, hands down. Not just hearing words, but paying attention. When clients feel truly understood, they open up more and trust you more, and that's when you can help them succeed.
It was clear for me ULAM LABS wasn't just another tech company – people here love what they do, and they take pride in their work. That impression has only grown stronger over time.

What was your first impression of ULAM LABS, and how has your experience evolved?
From day one at ULAM LABS, the team's enthusiasm stood out to me. It was clear this wasn't just another tech company – people here love what they do, and they take pride in their work. That impression has only grown stronger over time. I've witnessed firsthand the attention to detail in every project, from initial brainstorming to delivery. We don't just write code; we build solutions that make our client's eyes light up.
What do you enjoy most about working at ULAM LABS?
I appreciate how open we are to feedback and professional growth at ULAM LABS. Everyone here is keen to improve, whether through team discussions or personal development. It's refreshing to work somewhere that treats feedback as an opportunity to get better, not as criticism. This mindset of continuous learning fits perfectly with how I like to work.
Can you share some of the tools or strategies you use to stay organized and productive?
Google Calendar is my command center – it helps me track everything from client meetings to deadlines. For quick tasks, I use Slack's to-do lists. But sometimes the best solution is the simplest one: pen and paper. There's a unique satisfaction in physically crossing off completed tasks. And it turns out science backs this up – writing things down helps you remember them better than typing!
How would you describe the company culture at ULAM LABS?
If I had to pick one word, it would be 'collaborative.' At ULAM LABS, everyone is ready to help, regardless of their role or department. I've watched developers, salespeople, and marketers join forces to solve problems or come up with new ideas. Recently, I saw a colleague jump in to help meet a tight deadline, despite having their full plate. That's typical here – people genuinely want to help each other succeed.
How do you stay updated with industry trends and continue learning?
Each month, I pick two topics I want to understand better – could be a new blockchain protocol or an emerging market trend. I set aside time to dig into these properly. But my best learning comes from talking with clients and industry experts. These conversations are like mini masterclasses. In a way, just doing my job keeps me learning constantly!
