The challenge

The primary challenge in this project was to transition Willard Agri-Service from its reliance on outdated software to a modern, integrated system. The company had been depending on a 15-year-old custom Visual Basic application alongside a 10-year-old PHP application. These legacy systems were crucial for managing sales orders and overseeing fertilizer production across Willard's five manufacturing facilities. However, these applications were becoming increasingly inadequate for the company's growing needs. They were not only difficult and costly to maintain but also lacked the flexibility and efficiency required for today's fast-paced production demands.

Operating in the Mid-Atlantic region, Willard Agri-Service specializes in producing liquid fertilizers, micronutrients, and crop protectants and offers extensive agricultural services. To address these challenges, we developed an iOS application that efficiently manages and tracks deliveries and fertilizer applications, streamlining operations and reducing manual intervention.
