Frequently asked questions

Is the free audit really free?

Yes. Connect a repository and we'll send the report at no cost, no credit card, no catch.

How long does it take?

You'll get your report by email within 24 hours. It isn't instant, a senior engineer verifies the automated findings before we send them, so you're not just getting raw output from a bot.

Is a human involved, or is it just a bot?

Both. Our open-source engine does the heavy lifting, then a senior engineer, one who builds healthcare software, reviews the findings before your report goes out.

Do you store my code?

No permanently. We take read-only access, analyse the repository to produce your report, then discard it. Nothing is retained, and we'll sign an NDA on request.

What access do you need on GitHub?

Read-only, and only for the repositories you choose to share. We never write to or modify your code.

Can I audit a private repository?

Yes. Access is read-only and limited to the repositories you pick, private repos are welcome.

How do I get the MedTech checks?

They run automatically when we detect healthcare code.

Will the audit make my product compliant with MDR, FDA or DTAC requirements?

No audit of code alone can do that. For healthcare products we point out the technical gaps that typically come up in those assessments, so you can fix them early. Certification depends on your whole QMS, documentation and clinical safety process.

Can you decline my audit request?

Yes. We review every request before running an audit and may decline any project at our discretion, without having to give a detailed reason. This includes projects whose likely use raises legal concerns, such as obtaining copyrighted content without authorisation, bypassing security or access controls, or collecting personal data without consent, and projects outside the scope of our free programme. If we decline, we'll let you know by email, no code is analysed, and nothing from your repository is kept. Our audit engine is open source, so you can still run it yourself.
