This Privacy Policy relates to the Terms of Service of the Ulam Labs Website. It provides the definitions required under GDPR — specifically Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data.

2. Data processing method

• The scope of processing of a User's personal data aligns with the consents given and the data provided through the Website forms.
• Data processed may include: email address, IP address, name, phone number, image.
• Processing purposes include:
  • Compliance with legal obligations (Article 6.1(c) GDPR)
  • Provision of electronic services (Article 6.1(b) GDPR)
  • Promotional and commercial actions (Article 6.1(f) or 6.1(a) GDPR)
• Website elements are protected by copyright and cannot be reproduced without consent.
• Data retention periods:
  • For a duration sufficient to prove performance of obligations, per the applicable claims-limitation periods.
  • Marketing data: until objection or withdrawal of consent.
• Upon expiry, data is deleted unless another legal basis for processing applies.
• Data may be transferred to third countries, in particular the United States under the EU–U.S. Privacy Shield.

3. Profiling

• Users who consent enable automated processing that assesses personal factors relating to their preferences, interests and needs.
• This processing allows content to be adapted and personalised advertising to be displayed.

4. Recipients of data

• Third-party processors include: hosting providers, CRM services, email operators and legal firms.
• Data is disclosed to state bodies only pursuant to a lawful request.
• Transfer agreements guarantee adequate security and confidentiality.
• Sub-processing requires Ulam Labs' prior consent.
• Any unauthorised disclosure requires the data subject's consent.

5. Rights of the data subject

Users have the right to:

• (a) erase personal data from Ulam Labs' systems and those of cooperating entities;

• (d) access and rectify their personal data;
• (e) object to processing;
• (f) withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing;
• (g) lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.

6. Other data

• HTTP requests stored in web-server logs may contain: IP address, station identification, date and time, bytes sent, referring URL, browser information, error details, device information and mobile identifiers.
• Logs are collected for Website administration.
• Only authorised IT personnel can access the logs.
• Logs are analysed for traffic statistics and error identification.
• Summary analysis does not enable identification of individuals.

7. Security

• Ulam Labs implements technological and organisational measures protecting data against unauthorised disclosure, access, unlawful processing, alteration, loss, damage or destruction.
• Data is stored on secured servers governed by internal procedures and information-security policies.
• The technical and organisational means implemented include pseudonymisation and data minimisation.
• Internet use carries risks of malware and unauthorised access; Users should use antivirus software and keep security measures up to date.

8. Cookies and user identifiers

• The Website uses cookies for proper operation — packages of information stored on devices containing the Website address, publication date, cookie lifetime, a unique number and usage-related information.
• There are two cookie types: session cookies (deleted when the browser closes) and permanent cookies (which persist until deleted).
• Cookies do not enable user identification and prevent malware from entering.
• Ulam Labs' cookies cannot be read by other websites; third-party cookies are readable by external servers.
